How does smart transaction matching work?
EmLedger uses pattern recognition to automatically match imported bank transactions with existing entries in your books. It learns from your past matching decisions to improve accuracy over time. Matched transactions are highlighted for one-click confirmation.
Can I reconcile multiple bank accounts across multiple entities?
Yes. Each entity has its own bank accounts and reconciliation workflow. You can switch between entities and their bank accounts instantly. EmLedger supports unlimited bank accounts per entity on every plan.
What bank feed providers does EmLedger support?
EmLedger connects to thousands of financial institutions through our banking integration partners. If direct bank feeds are not available for your bank, you can import transactions via CSV, OFX, or QFX files.
How does auto-categorization work?
Create rules to automatically categorize recurring transactions. For example, set a rule that any transaction from "AWS" gets categorized as a Technology expense. Rules are entity-specific so each business has its own categorization logic.
Can I reconcile historical transactions?
Yes. EmLedger supports historical reconciliation for any past period. Import historical bank statements via CSV and reconcile them against your existing books. This is especially useful during data migration.
What happens if a transaction does not match?
